Philips: the future is bright

Philipslight

Philipsdraw

The future could be very bright if some of these innovative products by Philips' design labs are introduced into the consumer market. The products were revealed to the public at the company's annual concepts show in London and they are all part of the electronic maker's  efforts to simplify life.

My favourites are the "alarm light" and the "drag draw." Instead of being startled by annoy alarm beeps, this light slowly brightens an hour before you're supposed to rise. Instead of the shock of morning, you wake up gently and more naturally. "Drag draw" is a light-emitting pen that draws on any surface. It comes with a computer program that allows for animation. Goodbye Etch-a-Sketch, hello future!
