Oregon Parks and Recreation Department: State Parks

Designated group tent camps are open spaces set aside for a large number of tents. They are available at 19 parks across the state:

    Cape Blanco State Park
    Cape Lookout State Park
    Cascadia State Park
    Champoeg State Heritage Area
    Deschutes River State Recreation Area
    Emigrant Springs State Park  has a group camp with a max capacity of 25 people.  Contact the park directly to book at 541-983-2277.
    Farewell Bend State Recreation Area
    Jessie M. Honeyman Memorial State Park
    Joseph H. Stewart State Recreation Area
    Milo McIver State Park
    Silver Falls State Park
    South Beach State Park
    Sunset Bay State Park
    The Cove Palisades State Park
    Tumalo State Park
    Valley of the Rogue State Park
    Wallowa Lake State Park
    Willamette Mission State Park

Group sites hold up to 25 people, and the cost is $40 from Oct. 1 to Apr. 30, and $60 from May 1 to Sept. 30. At a few parks a local lodging tax is also collected. The sites are reservable by phone up to 9 months in advance by calling 1-800-452-5687. Some of these parks can occasionally serve more than 25 people per group tent area (the parks are Milo McIver, Joseph Stewart, Sunset Bay and Cape Blanco).
