You cannot run or ever, ever escape

On one of my long flights to Toronto from Hong Kong, I was introduced to the sport of Parkour (aka free running) through the BBC documentary, Jump Britain. These brilliantly fit people jump off buildings and bounce of walls into flips and somersaults. It's all pretty insane, but beautiful to see. As I watched the film, jaw down in amazement, I made a mental note to a) get fit enough to one day try some moves and b) learn more about this sport. I'm still working on the former. In the meantime, I'm going to watch more clips on You Tube, like the one above set to Bloc Party. Enjoy!

check it out @ http://www.koreus.com/files/200409/yamakazi.html

Thanks for sharing that awesome video, Hiro.

I thought the French had invented it, hence the name "rarkour." I wonder where the name "yamakazi" comes from.

Thanks for posting my video on here, iam glad you all like it !

The film 'District 13' is one of the best action movies of recent years and it heavily features Parkour. It's well worth checking out.

Yes, Parkour is french.
But they call it Parkour.
Yamakazi is just a movie (written and produced by Luc Besson) that capitalized on the popularity of parkour. You can imdb it.

Also, anyone remember the Nike Presto angry chicken commercial?
Nike tried to bring parkour to America as well. But no one noticed.

And yes, District 13 is awesome. More Parkour than martial arts.
Who needs plot when you can watch those guys fly around?
