Violin pop songs
Matthew at I (Heart) Music has compiled the second annual Hottest Bands in Canada list. Topping the 33-item list is violin-toting Final Fantasy (aka Owen Pallet). This year, FF released his second album, He Poos Clouds to critical-acclaim and the first Polaris Music Prize (Canada's answer to the Mercury Prize). I don't listen to He Poo Clouds or FF's debut Has a Good Home very often, but I can't deny that the man is bringing a fresh and interesting sound to pop music. To see him perform live is even more astounding.

OMG - he has a show at the North York Public Library!! That's so funny!! I spent so many hours of my youth there!! They had these computers in the kid section where you could play this game about settlers travelling across the American Mid-West. Then you died of typhoid. That sucked. But the library is great! (except they thought I stole a French Horn book from them and so I refused to return for a several years) But you can see the show - it's apparently free on Nov. 11th!

OMG - I love the Final Fantasy Song "Many Lives!!!!!!!!" Its so beautiful. I love it when the violins play like that. you got talent.
